Hi guys,
How is May treating you so far? Today is quite a beautiful warm day (as you can see on the picture) after a few days of wind and rain.
Shops are reopening and I am waiting for the enthusiasm to die down before I venture there.
Writing update: I have been busy writing into all three books every day. I am now at 23k words in Thibault and Jack’s story, Weatherboro Mysteries book 2. I have stopped writing in chapters, but I would say I am around chapter 5, from a word per chapter ratio. I have written 5k and 4k in Marcus and Sam’s stories respectively. I am having a lot of fun writing these two characters and their love interests. Marcus is larger than life and Sam makes me snort. If I keep going at this rate, I might finish all three books by the end of June, then spend July and August revising. I might not be able to release them into the wild before September but better late than never.
General update: I am working on my website so you should see a new look soon and my logo is changing too.
Reading update: I’d like to say I slowed down in my reading but that is not the case, at all. Below is this week’s reading list, new releases that were recommended to me. Enjoy and please hit me with your own recommendations for days when my TBR is not appealing.
Unguarded (vino and veritas book 10) by Jay Hogan: After this book, I started the whole series from the beginning, it was so good.
Eggsquisite (glitter dragons book 1) by Jax Jinx: A new to me author and I would say brand new author and I loved their first book. It was sweet and fun, very slow burn thought it is a fated mate romance. I can’t wait to see where this serie goes.
Bad boy (Masters of romance book 1) by Emma Alcott: I love Emma Alcott (and Piper Scott, her other pen name) and this book didn’t disappoint. Colton is such a fun character and Russ was his perfect counter part.
Following the rules (the script club) by Lane Hayes: I really enjoyed this book of cute tutor nerd and hot jock. It was sweet, hot and fun. A great start to a new series.
Memory Lane (Pine cove book 5) by HJ Welch: I am listening to the audio and loving it, Nick J. Russo’s narration is great and I am really loving both characters in the story.
That’s it for me for this week. I hope to have little snippets ready soon for you from all four books.
Wishing you a great week,
Cel
